My Tween Campaign!

I have such a heart for Tweens and I've decided I want to photograph them. :-) Do you remember what you were like when you were a tween? I sure do. I was awkward, couldn't figure out how to be, shy, shake self-esteem - the whole works. I want to show tweens how amazing they are right now! Who they are is amazing and wonderful. I want to show them portraits of themselves that will give them something to anchor into when the hard days show up.

To do that, I need your help! I'm looking for THREE tweens to photograph in the next couple of weeks so I can launch a Tween Campaign. You can get all the details in the video below, then fill out the application. Dates are close in and I think a lot of people are going to be interested in their so apply asap!

The June Campaign: High School Seniors!

Hooray! It's time to announce my next fun campaign for 2017! (My Fab Over 50 campaign was awesome and I can't wait to share some of the images with you!)

The campaign I'm working on in June is High School Seniors. I'm looking for THREE High School Seniors for this campaign. Specifically I'm looking for three seniors - girls and guys - who want something different from the usual senior photo shoots you see, You are a senior who wants a portrait as unique as you are.

Maybe you are a dancer who would love to be photographed en pointe. Or maybe you play a musical instrument that is so much a part of you it feels like another arm, Or maybe you have amazing red hair and you want an amazing senior portrait to go with it,  Or maybe you have something else amazing and unique you want to capture in your senior portrait.

Watch the video below to get the details about the campaign then apply at the bottom of this post to tell me all about you. :-)

Let's Do This!

Welcome to the Elizabeth Ashford Blog!

I'm so happy you are here. I can't wait to share all thing modern portraiture with you (including all kinds of ideas and tips for looking great in all those selfies!).

But first, I want to share the origins of my studio name - just to clear up any confusion. In my former (and sometimes in my current) life, my business consulting practice was called Sarah Robinson Co. Calling my studio Sarah Robinson Studios would cause all kinds of confusion, so I decided against doing that.

I come from a Southern Family, so I have two middle names: Elizabeth and Ashford. As I cast about for the perfect name for my studio, I kept returning to Elizabeth Ashford Studios. The name is steeped in tradition, the people I was named for epitomize elegance and charm, and the name is anchored in who I am. I must confess that my heart skips a beat every time I say the name Elizabeth Ashford Studios. So that is where the name comes from.

Now that I've explained that, I want you to know that my friends call me Sarah. So when you call me or email me, I want you to call me that, too. If we aren't friends before you call, we will be by the time our call is over. :-)

Stay tuned for updates on Studio happening, campaign model searches, and some behind the scenes looks at all that goes gone inside my studio. I can't wait to share it all with you!
